Current density distribution effect on MHD stability of tokamak plasma
Description
Radial profile of current longitudinal density was set in the T-10 tokamak experiments using generation of induction-free currents (ECCD). The conditions of stabilization of saw-tooth oscillations were determined. Their peculiarities near the stabilization conditions were studied. Modes with S < 0 width in plasma central part and q(r) > 1 were obtained. At S < 0 conditions one could observe transition into the mode of the improved retention. 6 refs.; 11 figs
