Mathematical model of kinetic processes of metal-slag interaction in electroslag welding of steel

Description
A mathematical model of kinetic processes of metal-slag interaction during electroslag welding (ESW) permitting to predict a chemical composition of weld metal along its length has been developed. A program for the computer model realization describing the behaviour of 13 chemically active elements has been developed as well. Qualitative calculations for ESW of carbon and alloy steels using AN-45 flux agree satisfactorily with experimental data.
