Improvements in or relating to the control of beams of electromagnetic radiation

A method of controlling the passage of a beam of laser radiation comprises generating in the beam path a transitory plasma of a density such as to prevent passage of the beam through the plasma. The apparatus comprises an evacuated chamber, with transparent walls and having means for generating at least 3 plasma plumes which coalesce in a localised region of the chamber. (U.K.)
