Identification and characterization of polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons in the atmosphere using laser line narrowing and laser excited shopol'skii effect
Creators
Description
In this work we have applied high resolution laser spectroscopy combined with Shopol'skii matrix to detect and identify carcinogenic, polycyclic hydrocarbons emitted in the atmosphere by the petrochemical industries and the heavy use of fossil fuels, It was possible to detect concentrations as low as few nanograms per liter by analyzing polluted dust sample from the atmosphere.
