Description
Three lectures concerning about some aspects of the interaction of radiation with matter are given. The contents of these lectures are: a) survey of some new possibilities opened by lasers; b) Atoms in intense resonant or quasi resonant lase beams. Discussion of several theoretical approaches to resonance fluorescence. New experimental schemes being currently devised; c) simple physical pictures to describe radiative corrections, with application to the Lamb-shift and to the anomalous gyromagnetic factor of leptons. The atom in a photon vacuum. (L.C.)

Apresentam-se tres aulas relativas a alguns aspectos da interacao da radiacao com a materia. Os conteudos dessas aulas sao: a) Revisao de algumas possibilidades novas abertas por lasers; b) Atomos em feixes de laser ressonantes ou quasi-ressonantes intensos. Discussao de varias abordagens teoricas a fluorescencia ressonante. Novos esquemas experimentais em curso atualmente; c) Quadros fisicos simples para descrever correcoes radiativas, com aplicacoes ao deslocamento Lamb e ao fator giromagnetico anomalo de leptons.
