Description

This study estimates organ and effective dose rate conversion coefficient for adult and child resulting from external gamma exposures due to radionuclide emissions using Monte Carlo technique. The calculations are carried out using computational phantoms representing the JCRP reference adult phantom and one-year old NCI-UF child phantom. The ratio of child to adult effective dose rate conversion coefficient is estimated and its dependency on the photon energy is observed. (author)
