Confirmation of the hypothesis of universality of the scalar confining potential in the model of generalized quark fields

Description
In the framework of the constituent model of mesons the contribution of the quasi-Coulomb interaction and the values of the constant slope of the linearly rising scalar potential (the coefficient of string tension) are calculated. The high-precision values of the constant slope obtained from the vector-meson mass spectrum confirms the hypothesis of flavor-independence of the scalar quark-antiquark potential. 16 refs
