Planning of radiotherapy of larynx cancer

A conformity of clinical X-ray data on the degree of tumour resorption and pathomorphological investigation data on its radiation damage should be taken into consideration to approach more objectively planning of larynx cancer treatment and possibility of its curing at the definite stage. To estimate radiation damage of tumour and surrounding tissues 4 stages of radiation pathomorphosis were used; clinical resorption was estimated on the basis of operational classification worked out. Comparative study of data on the degree of clinical regression and tumour radiation damage of 174 patients with larynx cancer who underwent radiation treatment permitted to establish their correspondence in 112 patients. Thus, study of clinical morphological resorption of larynx tumours has a definite significance in radiation treatment planning
