Applications of pulsed neutrons from a spallation source
Description
The major current limitation of the application of thermal neutron scattering in condensed matter research--source intensity is discussed. The pulsed spallation source provides a means of gaining an order of magnitude increase over the best steady-state reactors, while at the same time it opens up a much broader, and potentially very rich region of excitations to neutron scattering
