Equipment and techniques for remote fabrication and calibration of physically small, high intensity 252Cf neutron sources
Description
Special equipment and techniques were required to fabricate 252Cf neutron source capsules, in which milligram quantities of 252Cf were concentrated in each capsule to approximate an idealized ''point source'' as closely as possible. Through this cooperative effort with the National Bureau of Standards all 252Cf neutron against the national reference radium-beryllium source
