Description

In a first part, the control system hardware is described. It is explained how microprocessors are used to perform local tasks and how they are seen from the operator. The nature of signals sent to the control room is discussed, as well as the reason why they are sent. In a second part, the consoles design philosophy is given. It is explained how the operator can use these consoles either at an elementary level or at a more sophisticated one
