Efficiency of different rockphosphates in acid soils using 32P as a tracer

Description
Efficiency of Udaipur, Peruvian and Mussoorie rockphosphates containing 33.4,30.7 and 24.5 percent P2O5. respectively, was compared with superphosphate on acid soils of Karamana (pH 5.4) and Palampur (pH 5.8) containing 21.6 and 13.6 kg P/ha of available phosphorus, respectively. Results on percent phosphorus in the plant derived from the applied source (Pdff) showed that Udaipur rockphosphate was almost at par with superphosphate on both the soils while Mussoorie rockphosphate was the least effective.
