Gamma- and UV-stimulated photoconductivity in Bi4Ge3O12

Description
Results of investigation of the effect of γ- and ultraviolet-radiation on photoconductivity of Bi4Ge3O12 samples are presented. It is shown that both types of radiation lead to similar changes in spectra of photoconductivity (PC) and optical absorption (OA). Local centers, manifested in PC and OA spectra, represent traps for free charge carriers and are of electron character. Effect of γ- and UV-radiation results to qualitatively similar processes: formation of electron-hole pairs and occupation of centers, representing traps for electrons
