Determination of the boron content of vegetable food by means of prompt neutron activation
Description
Applying a measurement technique based on the nuclear reaction 10B(n,α)7Li the boron content of various foodstuffs of plant origin can be determined without destructing the sample. The boron concentration of the investigated plant samples (paprika, tomatoes, carrots, cabbages potato, apple, pear) ranged from 7 to 374 mg/kg. (author)
