Design and construction aspects of a 1/6 scale LWR reinforced concrete containment model

Description
This paper discusses unique factors and special requirements associated with the design and construction of a reinforced concrete containment model. Designed at 1/6-scale to the ASME Section III, Division 2 Code, this is the largest and most complex model of its kind. A large body of instruments will record the structure's response and leakage as it is tested under increasing pressures into the large strain region and up to its ultimate failure. Results will be used to qualify computer programs that evaluate full scale containment performance for postulated loadings
