Reforming outage strategy: Nuclear Electric prepares to set world standards
Description
In changing the way it manages outages, Nuclear Electric, Britain's largest nuclear power generator, has made some spectacular gains in performance and reduction in costs. The new culture sees outages as big business which needs to have the best managers and to bring staff into the process more effectively. A new ''partnering'' relationship with contractors is also yielding substantial benefits. (author)
