Development of Customized Computer-Based Procedure for Research Reactors

Description

As digitalization of main control room, a computerized procedures system has been developed. The system makes operators to identify necessary information easily, associated with current status of reactor systems and working status of operating procedures. It helps that operators can concentrate more important awareness tasks associated with accidents or maintaining of safety functions. The system can minimize burdens for less-important tasks of operators and prevent human errors in urgent situations. The purpose of this project is to develop a computerized procedure system prototype for research reactors and evaluate the usability and effectiveness of the supporting system. A powerful computerized procedure system has been developed and used for domestic nuclear power plants. But, it is not possible to apply the system to research reactors actually. Through this project, we can achieve a prototype system and specific design and development technologies for the computerized procedure system.
