High-energy electron-pair photoproduction from nuclei: Comparison with theory

Total cross sections for electron-positron pair production by photons have been measured in the energy range 1--10 GeV from nuclei ranging from hydrogen to uranium. The results agree, with a precision of about 2% over the full range, with calculations of Tsai
