Brief summaries are presented of discussions among scientists conducting research on the transport and diffusion of transuranium elements in aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems. Emphasis was placed on 238Pu, 239Pu, 240Pu, and 241Am in ecosystems and food chains. Areas for future research were suggested to insure the safe storage of radioactive wastes from the nuclear industry
