Role of SOP in the deformation of N=66 isotones

- 2. Tennessee Tech. University, Cookville (United States)
Description
The N=66 isotones Mo-Sn-Ce undergo shape changes with proton number Z The 2+ energy is high in Sn but drops sharply on both sides of Z=50. The dynamic pairing plus quadrupole model was applied to reproduce these shape changes. Separate sets of s.p. Nilsson orbits and spherical s. p. energy were used for Z< 50 and Z ≥ 50 isotones
