Description
Results are presented from a strong bare Yukawa coupling expansion for a lattice Yukawa theory with a real scalar field. It is found that the effective action involves competing interactions, consistent with the existence of a ferrimagnetic phase at intermediate Yukawa coupling y. We also give evidence that the (bosonic) continuum theory defined at the ferromagnetic-paramagnetic phase boundary at large y is free
