Pursuit of well-differentiated thyroid cancer of follicular origin

As many of the tumors originated in an endocrine organ, the thyroid tumors of follicular origin present a clear hormone-dependence, being this especially certain for the well-differentiated tumors and with intact receivers. The thyroid stimulating hormone, TSH, taken place in the hypophysis, stimulates in the cell follicular thyroid, the reception of iodine, the thyroglobuline production and the production and liberation of thyroid hormones (T3 and T4). Likewise, it produces a mitogenic effect, favoring the cellular replication of the thyrocite. The liberation of TSH is controlled by negative retroalimentation by the thyroid hormones T3 and T4 at hypophysiary level and, in an indirect form, for the inhibition of the TRH (stimulating hypothalamic hormone of TSH liberation) whose liberation is equally inhibited by the presence of T3 and T4
