Description

This review outlines the present state of the development of D-T neutron sources based on low voltage accelerators. The following topics are discussed: importance of 14 MeV neutrons in the determination of neutron data and different fields of applications; output characteristics of the D-T reaction; generation and acceleration of ions; targets and neutron yields; characteristics of some neutron generators.
