Fermionic gauge symmetries

  • 1. Theory Div., CERN, CH-1211 Geneva 23 (Switzerland)

Description

In this paper some important properties of fermionic κ-symmetry are discussed. In particular, the existence of singlets of κ-symmetry is explained in relation to the gauge algebra. Fermionic κ-symmetry is shown to control all other symmetries of the theory. This leads to Wess-Zumino type relations between fermionic and conformal anomalies. The quantization of the Green-Schwarz superstring with infinite reducible κ-symmetry is also discussed
