Contrast change among human brain tissues using various flop angles in the first spin-echo FLAIR method
Description
Fast spin echo-FLAIR method of MRI is used for deletion of flowing spinal fluid. In order to brain images with better contrast while maintaining the merit of FLAIR. Human brain images were taken with narrow flop angles of refocusing pulse. The character of FLAIR images were maintained in the changes of flop angles from 180 deg to 160 deg and decreased at lower flop angles (160-90). On the other hand I found that the image like that of PDWI was obtained by using narrow flop angles near 90 deg. The PDWI like images were taken in shorter time by this method than by usual PDWI.
