Dislocation mechanism of softening in indium antimonide single crystals
Description
Possible mechanism resulting in the effect of rate increase of spiral segments at interaction of hexagonal dislocation loops is discussed. Due to different value of modules of point defect equilibrium concentration the channel shifting of vacancies along interacting segments (these segments have a spiral structure and opposite mechanical sign) representing stoppers for motion of bendings occurs. This shift of point defects may reduce the value of energy dissipation of interacting dislocation via oscillating motion of its segments between stoppers that will result in the effect of dislocation rate increase
