Scattering data analysis with using a two-variable expansion
Description
A brief description is given of a research program which is intended for obtaining an easy representation of the scattering amplitudes for reactions of the type 1+2→3+4, with using a two-variable series expansion. The method is specially aimed for elastic nucleon-nucleon scattering. Three important stages in the development of this program are shown: first, a two-variable expansion is derived where one variable is continuously varying, for the case of zero spin particles; then it is shown how to replace this first expansion by an integral; third, the formalism is extended to any spin particle

On presente succinctement un programme de recherche dont le but est de fournir une representation aisee des amplitudes de diffusion ou de reactions de la forme 1+2→3+4, par un developpement en serie de deux variables. La methode est particulierement destinee a la diffusion elastique nucleon-nucleon. On presente trois etapes importantes de l'avancement de ce programme: on etablit d'abord un developpement en deux variables, dont l'une varie de facon continue, pour les particules de spin zero; on montre comment ramener le developpement par une integrale, a un developpement en serie (la variable continue est devenue discrete); enfin on etend le formalisme aux particules de spin quelconqueAdditional details
