Nuclear containment mat design concepts

Results of a parametric study for the preliminary design of a specific PWR containment mat are presented. The parameters involved are the soil bearing pressure, soil spring constants, internal pressure within the containment, and the basic material properties specified by the ACI Code. Only axisymmetric loadings are considered
