Nuclear molecules: The present status
Description
The author discusses this paper into three main sections. He places nuclear molecules into a broader context of heavy-ion nuclear and atomic physics and answers the question why the investigation of nuclear molecular configurations is interesting and what new concepts one can learn from it. He also reviews the current trends of their experimental investigation. Finally, in section 3 he discusses some new ideas on the molecular and non-molecular interpretation of resonances in heavy-ion collisions and the possible extension of these concepts to other fields of nuclear and atomic physics
