Deep inelastic scattering at small x
Description
It is proved to all orders in the QCD coupling that the dominant contribution to deep inelastic scattering at small x is given by a purely gluon ladder diagram evaluated in a special region of phase space. In the axial gauge, while other planar and non-planar graphs are individually dominant in various regions of phase space, their sum cancels due to conservation of probability. One result of this analysis is that there is no leading pole at n = 1 in the singlet anomalous dimension, νsub(n), beyond order g2. (orig.)
