Conventional Gribov-Regge approach: strengths and drawbacks

Description

General features of the Gribov-Regge approach to the description of high energy hadronic collisions are considered. A special attention is paid to the treatment of so-called semi-hard interactions and to the role of enhanced Pomeron diagrams which describe non-linear interaction effects. It is shown that different subclasses of such diagrams dominate interaction cross sections and inclusive particle spectra. Also we discuss the modification of the standard scheme by the correct treatment of the energy-momentum sharing mechanism in hadronic collisions
