Description

The recent synthesis of tetratellurafulvalene (TTeF) makes it possible to examine in a more systematic fashion how structural modification affect the ionization potential, polarizability, on-site Coulomb repulsion, bandwidths (in sack dp-π orbital overlap), dimensionality (between stack dp-π and σ orbital overlap) and how these factors influence the electrical transport and magnetic susceptibility of mixed valence salts derived from sulfur, selenium, and tellurium π-donors
