Evidence for orographic waves in the Venus atmosphere: analysis of Vega balloon experiment results

Description

Data on manifestation of orographic waves in the Venus atmosphere obtained by means of VEGA project ballon experiments are presented. Results of numerical simulation show the effect of relief form variations on formation character of space wave structures of the field of velocity vector vertical component, occurring over rock massif at ∼ 54 km height
