Moessbauer analysis of iron(II) and iron(III) in geological reference materials
Description
The ferric-to-ferrous ratios (Fe3+/Fe2+) were determined in about 20 geological reference materials by means of 57Fe Moessbauer spectroscopy. The Moessbauer values were generally in agreement with chemical analysis values. The present Moessbauer results were also compared with those from other laboratories. (author)
