Parametric conversion of an electron plasma wave into circularly polarised electromagnetic waves in longitudinally magnetized n-type semiconductors with high dielectric constant
Description
The interesting nonlinear process of parametric conversion of a high frequency electrostatic wave into electromagnetic wave is investigated analytically for n-type semiconductor with high dielectric constant, to which a dc magnetic field is applied along the wave propagation direction. A general dispersion relation is obtained and solved for both the senses of rotation of excited electromagnetic waves to study the threshold condition and growth rates of the unstable modes.
