Intercalation of uranium hexafluoride into a graphite lattice

Description
A study was made of the intercalation of uranium hexafluoride into graphite. Experimental details are given. X-ray diffraction data, magnetic susceptibility measurements and thermogravimetric analyses are presented. The intercalate Csub(9.1)UF6 is a weak fluorinating agent. The results are discussed. (U.K.)
