Nuclear energy - an option for the future

The 'Jahrestagung Kerntechnik '95' (Annual Conference on Nuclear Energy) held jointly by the Deutsches Atomforum e.V. and the Kerntechnische Gesellschaft e.V. in Nuernberg from 16 to 18 May 1995, attracted more than 1000 lecturers and participants from Germany and abroad. There were just under 200 lectures on subjects such as the present situation of nuclear energy, development of new reactors, cooperation with the countries of the former East Bloc, and questions of reactor safety and radwaste disposal. Die vom 16. bis 18. Mai 1995 gemeinsam vom Deutschen Atomforum e.V. und der Kerntechnischen Gesellschaft e.V. in Nuernberg veranstaltete 'Jahrestagung Kerntechnik '95' fuehrte ueber 1 000 Vortragende und Teilnehmer aus dem In- und Ausland zusammen. Dabei wurden in fast 200 Vortraegen u.a. die aktuelle Situation der Kernenergie, die Entwicklung neuer Reaktoren, die Kooperation mit ehemaligen Ostblocklaendern sowie Fragen der Reaktorsicherheit und der Entsorgung eroertert.
