Description
H2S has been recognized as an important gasotransmitter with key roles in different physiological processes. Since its concentration levels in cells and blood plasma could undergo variation during pathological conditions such as SEPSIS, there is lot of interest to develop reliable method for its detection and quantification for diagnostic purposes. As part of our interest in this area, we have designed and developed a new chemical probe based on 1H-pyrrol-3(2H)-one scaffold that can respond to H2S through fluorescence as well as Raman (SERS) outputs
