Derivation of the nuclear one-body dissipation formula from the Boltzmann equation
Description
The nuclear one-body dissipation formula, which describes the time rate of exchange of energy from a moving nuclear surface into internal excitation under the assumption of a long mean free path, is derived here from the Fermi-gas solution of the Boltzmann equation instead of from classical mechanics.
