Non-linear FEM analysis of RC box walls under oblique horizontal loading
Creators

Description
Shear slip failure observed in the experiment of the box wall could be simulated by imposing a limitation to shear strain of concrete element. Both results of experiment and analysis confirm that the ultimate load of box wall becomes larger with the increase of the loading angle. For the earthquake proof design of the box structures, the ultimate loads of direction parallel to the side of wall is the least compared to the other directions. (orig./HP)
