Situation of the French nuclear program

Description
This issue gives an overview of the present situation of the French nuclear program: progress in manufacturing of the new units, operation of the existing power plants; safety issues related to the pressurized water reactors and to Superphenix; contribution of the main operators to advances in the techniques involved. In addition, a study is presented of the social and economic impact of nuclear power, globally and in France (with the example of the Rhone-Alpes region). (author)
