Present-day achievements in dosimetry of radiopharmaceuticals

Main methods of internal irradiation dosimetry in case of treatment and diagnosis with RPP were reviewed. Main achievement in RPP dosimetry turned out to be calculation method of organum and effective dose equivalent (MIRD-formalism). Theoretcal fundamentals of the method were described. Complication of dosimetry of new RPP was revealed in case of inhalation administration of RPP in the form of radioactive gases and aerosols. Further researh on developing mathematical models was expedient to increase accuracy of radioactivity measurement, to improve methods of dosimetric parameters extrapolation from laboratory animals to man
