Description
We study the s and s-bar low Q2 non-perturbative distributions in protons in the framework of the Meson Cloud Model. From a comparison of model predictions to a recent global fit from Deep Inelastic Scattering data on the s and s-bar quark distribution functions in protons, we extract qualitative information on the strange quark distribution functions in hyperons and kaons
