Description
Different models of nuclear rotation are given. Various approaches to cranking are discussed and compared with the results of the SU 3 theory of rotational bands in light nuclei. An exact solution of the cranked oscillator is given and the selfconsistency conditions in a rotating frame are discussed. (author)
