Traces of chiral symmetry on light planes
Description
The possibility of a description of the hadronic world by field theories defined on light planes and formulated in terms of three interacting quark field variables has been investigated. The framework of models where the chiral symmetry breaking is produced by the only mechanical masses of quarks has been considered. The hypothesis that the light plane charges generate in the real world approximate symmetries of one particle states has also been emitted. The projection of the algebraic structure of the observables in the space of physical states have yielded various relations in terms of the masses and couplings of the low lying mesons. They seem to be in agreement with experimental data, and suggest the consistency of the adopted model to describe symmetry breaking phenomena. The quark mechanical masses m(u) approximately 30MeV and m(s) approximately 200MeV have also been estimated. The smallness of these masses in respect to those of hadrons seems to indicate that they do not constitute the only mass scale of the hadronic world, but that there should exist another scale parameter, independent of the quark mechanical masses, and symmetric of SU(3)

On a admis la possibilite d'une description du monde hadronique par des theories des champs decrites sur des plans nuls et construites a partir de trois champs fondamentaux de quarks en interaction. On s'est place dans le cadre de modeles ou le brisement de la symetrie chirale est produit uniquement par les masses mecaniques des quarks. On a aussi emis l'hypothese que les charges du genre lumiere generent dans le monde reel des symetries approchees des etats a 1 particule. La projection de la structure algebrique des observables dans l'espace des etats physiques a pernis d'obtenir diverses relations entre les masses et les constantes de couplage des mesons des basses energies. Elles semblent en accord avec les donnees experimentales, et suggerent la consistance du modele adopte a decrire les phenomenes de brisement de symetrie. On a aussi estime les masses mecaniques des quarks m(u) environ 30MeV et m(s) environ 200MeV. La petitesse de ces masses devant celles des hadrons semble indiquer qu'elles ne constituent pas la seule echelle de masse du monde hadronique et qu'il devrait exister une deuxieme echelle de masse, symetrique de SU(3), et independante des masses mecaniques des quarksFiles
