Future neutrino oscillation experiments

Description

A review of future neutrino oscillation experiments is presented following a brief status report on neutrino physics. The spectacular experimental effort in preparation includes a new generation of solar and atmospheric neutrino experiments, and a number of neutrino-beam projects centred mainly on the search for νμ↔ντ oscillations and on long base-line oscillation studies. The experiments in preparation will touch upon some of the most fundamental issues of modern physics: the nature of neutrinos, the nature of dark matter in our Universe and, perhaps, the question of the unification of forces. They will span about a decade but the first results should be available within two years from now. (author). 27 figs. 6 tabs., 60 refs
