Description
The paper summarizes the activity of KFKI Atomic Energy Research Institute in the field of neutronics of the High Performance Light Water Reactor, which belongs to the six reactor types currently being investigated within the framework of the Generation IV International Forum. The KARATE code system for the calculation of VVER-440 type reactors was upgraded to be able to treat the supercritical water cooled reactors with water moderator channels and cluster type absorbers. The verification of the modified code system and its past and future application is presented. (author)
