The capture of muons by complex nuclei

The paper presents an overreview of recent ideas that have tried to the muon capture, as one of the most accessible high-momentum-transfer weak interactions, together with electron scattering in a unified picture of ''medium energy'' reactions (weak and electromagnetic) which are mutually dependent through isospin symmetry, and which can thus be used for studies of nuclear structure in a consistent and/or complementary fashion.
