Description
The preparation of 45Ti-ascorbate(AsA) is described and results presented for the tissue distribution of 45Ti-AsA and 45TiCl4 in rats and guinea pigs. The effect of low or high ascorbic acid intake on the tissue distribution is also investigated. Autoradiography of rat brain glioma was performed following administration of 45Ti-AsA; the results suggest that 45Ti-AsA may be a useful radiopharmaceutical for studying the blood-brain barrier.
