Sin(2beta): Status and Perspectives
Description
An overview of the observation of CP violation in the neutral B system, and the measurements of the CP-violating asymmetry sin2β with B → charmonium KS,L0 events, performed by the BABAR and Belle experiments at the SLAC and KEK B factories is given. In addition, the measurements of sin2β with several other modes are described, including B → ψKS0, which, as the leading contribution is from a loop diagram, could be sensitive to physics beyond the Standard Model
